Vehicle Overview
Related to the Outback wagon, the Subaru Legacy competes with family sedans like the Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima and Ford Fusion. Unlike any others in its segment, however, it comes with standard all-wheel drive.
Manual and continuously variable automatic transmissions are available on the 2.5-liter four-cylinder, and the 3.6-liter six-cylinder gets a conventional five-speed automatic.
New for 2014
Adaptive transmission control is standard for all models with a continuously variable automatic transmission. It adjusts the transmission depending on road conditions and driving style. A new wheel package for the 2.5i model includes 17-inch alloy wheels, all-season tires and fog lights. The optional navigation system also now includes a multimedia system with smartphone integration.
