Cruze Eco
The Eco is a higher-mileage version of the Cruze that uses the turbo 1.4-liter gas engine. When equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission, the Cruze Eco gets an EPA-estimated 26/39 mpg city/highway.

Cruze Diesel
The Cruze Diesel is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter diesel four-cylinder that produces 151 hp and 264 pounds-feet of torque. That power is channeled through a standard six-speed automatic transmission.
- EPA-estimated 27/46 mpg
- Zero to 60 mph in 8.6 seconds, according to Chevrolet
- Selective catalytic reduction, which uses a tank of urea-based fluid for emissions reduction
- Fluid should last 10,000 miles and can be refilled when the car gets oil changes, according to Chevrolet
- Urea tank reduces trunk space to 13.3 cubic feet
- Engine features an "overboost" mode for stronger acceleration that produces 280 pounds-feet of torque
- Engine can run on B20 biodiesel
- Grille shutters that close at higher speeds, a rear spoiler and underbody panels for better aerodynamics
